Maryland New Business Lawyers

We’re about more than just money and fees.

While our firm is a for-profit firm, we take great pride in our involvement in the local community.

Attorney Bowers is a member of the Juvenile first-time offenders who are accused of non-felony offenses. The program allows the youths an alternative to entering the *Juvenile system*, and has an incredible success rate at keeping a significant percentage out of the juvenile and adult criminal systems entirely.

The firm has an active involvement in the local homeless shelters, providing regular pro bono legal clinics, as well as offering expungement services to those involved at no charge. This outreach is coordinated with and to benefit the Meeting Ground non-profit organization, based out of Elkton, MD.

Jobeth Bowers also serves on the list of panel attorneys for the Cecil County Office of the Public Defender. This allows him to assist the office handle cases for clients who may have a conflict of interest for one of a variety of reasons. While these cases are paid by the Public Defender’s Office, they are taken on at an hourly fee that is significantly lower than the firm’s usual fee for cases of this nature.

The firm is often involved in a number of other local charitable organizations and foundations.

Overall, Jobeth Bowers has pledged 100 hours of pro bono work each year, twice that suggested by the Maryland State Bar Association. For more information, please visit our blog or our Facebook page for current active involvement. If you are interested in being involved in one of these causes contact that cause directly, or call the office at (410)-975-7000 for more information.
