Our Inception and Impact
Bowers Law was founded in 2014 by Maryland attorney Jobeth R. Bowers, a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. Before opening his own practice in Elkton, Jobeth spent nearly a decade working at a variety of firms in and around Baltimore City, building his knowledge of personal injury litigation, motor vehicle accident law, and insurance defense strategy from the inside out. He opened Bowers Law because he believed accident victims in Cecil County, Maryland, deserved a dedicated, locally-rooted advocate who would fight as hard for them as the big insurance companies fight against them.
Our Elkton Maryland attorneys have many years of combined experience handling cases of all types in the Aberdeen, Baltimore, and Bel Air, MD areas. They are licensed to practice law throughout Maryland in all courts. If you have legal questions or concerns, they can help you through this difficult, confusing, and trying time.

We Are Client Centered
Keeping clients involved in their cases.
Each year there are studies and surveys of complaints that are registered against lawyers and law offices. Some of these complaints are officially filed with state bar associations, others are merely obtained from online reviews from a variety of websites. At the top of most of these surveys of why people complain about their lawyer or law firm is communication. You may have experienced a situation with a prior case and a law office that either the lawyer or staff member you wished to speak to was never available, never returned calls or took forever to return calls.
At Bowers Law we believe that communication and client involvement is the core to success in many of these cases. If you hire us to handle a case for you and have experienced other law firms before, you may be oddly surprised a few weeks into our representing you when you receive a call from your lawyer to “check in” or ask some follow up questions about the case. At this firm, those types of calls are normal.
How the Firm Has Evolved
What began as a solo practice in Elkton has grown into a multi-attorney firm serving clients across Maryland’s I-95 corridor. Bowers Law operates out of its office in Cecil County, Maryland, with attorneys licensed to practice in all Maryland courts. The firm has expanded its service areas to cover Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and beyond.
Where the Firm Stands Today
Today, Bowers Law is one of Maryland’s most recognized personal injury practices. Led by a Super Lawyers-rated founding attorney and backed by a team of dedicated Maryland lawyers, the firm continues to serve accident victims and their families across the state, treating each client as a neighbor, not just a case number.
Mission Statement & Core Values
Mission Statement
“At Bowers Law, our mission is to level the playing field for accident victims in Maryland. Insurance companies have armies of adjusters and lawyers working to minimize what they pay you. Our number one focus is to make sure you have an equally determined advocate in your corner. We do not get paid unless we win. Your recovery is our only priority.”

Community Involvement & Pro Bono
Bowers Law is deeply rooted in the communities it serves. Founder Jobeth R. Bowers is an active member of the Mid Atlantic Business Group and devotes a significant portion of his time to volunteering throughout Cecil County, whether through county- or state-organized agencies or through his own pro bono efforts. He is a major contributor and supporter of groups such as Youth Empowerment Source, Voices of Hope, CASA of Cecil County, and more. We believe that the best law firms do not just take cases, but instead make their communities stronger.
Giving Back to the Community
We’re about more than just money and fees.
While our firm is a for-profit firm, we take great pride in our involvement in the local community.
Attorney Bowers is a member of the Juvenile first-time offenders who are accused of non-felony offenses. The program allows the youths an alternative to entering the *Juvenile system*, and has an incredible success rate at keeping a significant percentage out of the juvenile and adult criminal systems entirely.
The firm has an active involvement in the local homeless shelters, providing regular pro bono legal clinics, as well as offering expungement services to those involved at no charge.
